What is it you like the most about your job as account manager?
The contact with people. Also, nothing feels better than hearing afterwards how satisfied your customers are.
Are there any unwritten rules you have to follow as member of the Merchandise Essentials family?
You have to be the right kind of crazy.
Pretend you’re the CEO of Merchandise Essentials. What three concerns about the firm’s future keep you up at night?
There would definitely be some things keeping me up at night, especially the numbers and targets. Also, giving responsibility to others would be difficult at first, trusting others to do it right. Finally, I would constantly think about how I can improve things, how I can realize my ideas and reach my goals.
Are you more of a hunter or a gatherer?
I am a real team player. I never act without taking into account our team. Not only the sales team, but the whole company. I’m definitely more of a gatherer. But that doesn’t mean I don’t have any personal goals, I also have ambitions. So I guess I also have a bit of a hunter in me.
What do you think about when you’re alone in the car?
I don’t really think about anything when I’m driving. I turn on Spotify and organize my own karaoke. I really love records that I can sing along with.
